Catalog

Publish any course in an attractive online catalog quickly and efficiently to drive enrollments and grow the adoption of new programs.


Overview

The catalog allows for a user to browse available courses prior to creating an account and enrolling in a course. CorpU offers highly customizable browsing settings that allow organizations to determine the level of visibility their catalog and even specific courses have to the public, private, or other pre-defined audiences - ensuring that organizations stay in control of who is viewing and accessing their training programs.

Catalog Settings

Administrators can access the catalog settings by navigating to the following:

  1. Log into CorpU
  2. Navigate to Admin Tools

  3. Click Site Settings from the left menu
  4. Click the Features menu option

As an administrator, you can set the following catalog options:

  • Enable Catalog - This setting will enable a catalog where courses can be published and made available to members to browse and enroll in a course.
  • Enable Public Privacy Setting Option - This setting will allow the Public privacy setting option to be made available when configuring a course.
  • Allow Members to View Catalog - This setting enables a new catalog link within the site to allow members to access the catalog.

Course Settings

Administrators can publish a course to the catalog and configure additional options by navigating to course settings:

  1. Log into CorpU
  2. Navigate to Admin Tools

  3. Click Courses from the left menu
  4. Select a Course
  5. Click the Settings option within the course
    1. *Note - Settings will now contain all options to configure a course and previously released splash page options

As an administrator, you can set the following course settings:

  • Enable Splash Page - This setting allows you to enable a splash page for the course.
  • Publish to Catalog - This setting will publish the course to the catalog
  • Privacy Setting* - This setting allows you to configure the visibility of the course within the catalog and which audience can access
    • Public - No sign-in is required to access.
      • *Note - You must first enable this option from Site Settings if you would like to enable this privacy setting option.
    • Site - Anyone who can log into the site can access.
    • Community - Anyone who can log into the site and is a member of the associated community can access.

Course Tags

Tags are a new option within course settings that allow administrators to categorize their courses by a particular topic or focus area within the catalog. Tags are exposed as a filter option within the catalog and provide users with a way to easily filter and browse the catalog.

As an administrator, you can add or modify existing tags by navigating to:

  1. Log into CorpU
  2. Navigate to Admin Tools

  3. Click Courses from the left menu
  4. Select a Course
  5. Click the Settings option within the course
  6. Select the Details tab option from the setting navigation bar

  7. Enter a tag under the Tags section. Multiple tags can be added by separating each tag by a comma (e.g. strategy, leadership, change). 

  8. Existing tags can be selected by clicking the List of Existing Tags button
